On International Women’s Day, Graziella Rocella, Chief Research and Product Design Officer of Planet Smart City, recounted her experience as a woman in a male-dominated industry like real estate. Planet sales of ~USD 105 million in 2021, more than doubled the sales in 2022 of USD 52 million dollars. The real estate industry experienced a steep decline in 2020, and just as developers began to believe that the ‘worst is over,’ the country experienced a much stronger second COVID wave during March-June 2021, which negatively impacted demand in almost every sector of the economy, including real estate, but it redeemed itself in the latter half of the year.
