Budget 2022: Real estate players want ‘affordable housing’ redefined, tax relief and more

On the eve of Budget of FY22-23, Director of Planet Smart City India, Mr. Mukund Deogaonkar shares his views. According to him, strategic steps by the government of India for 2020 & 2021 budget, real estate and related industries have profited, resulting in unprecedented sales and registration, therefore gathering momentum for the sector's growth and boosting consumer trust. It will be fascinating to watch if affordable home finance schemes are expanded to the mid-segment. There is confidence that the forthcoming budget will include real estate as infrastructure, unleashing a host of tax breaks to stimulate foreign and local investment and boost overall demand in the industry
